2068 Division Street This house was built by A.G. Hibbert in 1853 who was believed he was a lord for England. All the materials to build the house was imported from England. Behind the building was a stable for a horse-drawn funeral carriage. This building also had the East Troy Public Library for many years. Many people believed there is a ghost in the building after a young man hung himself. pg 4 
 2894 Main Street This building was built in 1856 by Sewall Smith who used this building as a dry goods store called Smity Dry Goods Company. This building had the 1st elevator in town from the 1800s. pg 5-6  
2890 Main Street This building was built in 1863 and house the post office during the 1930s. The upper floor had a cigar factory called “East Troy Park Cigars” with a picture of the Square on the box. The upstairs had dances for the Masons and Eastern Star. This building on the National Historic Landmark Register since 1993. pg 7
2888 Main Street The building was built in 1881 which was a hardware store and sold Overland automobiles. On December 22, 1915, Lawrence Clancy was appointed Postmaster by President Woodrow Wilson. The Post Office was also in this building too.  In the back of the building, there is a rope elevator which is still there. This building on the National Historic Landmark Register since 1993. pg 7-8  
 2886 Main Street This building was built in 1860 and was a barbershop ran by Earl Eddy. During the 1920s there was a hidden gambling parlor . pg 8-9
2884 Main Street This build was a drug store run by P.O. Griste. Upstairs he sold toys at Chrismas time. At the time they sold the best toys kids could want. pg 9-10 
2882 Main Street This building started as a store then in 1898 it changed to a 1st class grocery store run by Al Jude. In 1913 it changed to an old country store and bulk food. In 1969 it became a hair salon. pg 10-11 
2880 Main Street There has been a lot of different businesses in this building. It started as a pool hall then became a Barber Shop. It was a Theater than a Greek Ice cream parlor. It was also a bakery and a jewelry store. Upstairs used to be a dentist office. pg 11
2878 Main Street This building was built in 1887 and opened as a bar by Albert A. Smith. There have been 4 other owners of the bar with different names but in 2002 was back under original name it is today. pg 12
2874 Main Street Originally at this location was a tailor shop but the building was torn down. In 1924 this building was built to be a Sinclair filling station one of the 1st in the area. In the 1930s it became a Nash dealership too. It became a Plymouth-Chrysler Dealership. pg 13
2088 Church Street work on this building started in 1846 when Samuel Bradley collected rocks around the area. Samuel Bradley built the building by himself. It was completed in 1849 under the name Buena Vista House. There is a ballroom on the 3rd level and was a place for a lot of historical events in Walworth County. There is a rumor Abraham Lincoln slept there. This building is on the National Historic Landmark since 1978 under Buena Vista House. pg 14-16
2094, 2096 Church Street This building was built in 1890 as an opera house by Jude and Clifford Churchill. It has hosted many operettas, plays, dances, basketball games, and high school graduations the last one in 1938. pg 16-17
2098 Church Street The original building at this site was destroyed because of a gas leak explosion that killed Dr. Thomas Budnick and injuring two patients. pg 18
2100 Church Street This building was built in 1991 by Patrick Hudec. Hudec Law Offices and East Troy Times have offices there. pg 18-19.
2104 Church Street This building was built in 1908 as a jewelry shop by Fred Coburn. The building had a walled-in vault with alarms on doors and windows. The East Troy post office was here for 10 years. pg 19
2106 Church Street There is originally a house that was here that got tour down in 1939. In 1939 a movie theater was built but that building was destroyed by fire in 1983. This building was built in 1984 and was the village hall at the time. in 2010 East Troy Area Historical Society brought the building. pg 20
East Troy Parking Lot Original there was an apartment building the oldest building in East Troy until it was torn down. A blacksmith shop replaces it until it was partially destroyed by fire. There was also a Johnson Motors Ford dealership and boat sales and repair shop. In 2005 it was sold to Village of East Troy to make a parking lot. pg 20-21
2114 South Church Street This building was built in the late 1800s by Mr. Gilbert. He was in the undertaking and vault storage business. There was an area for hanging bodies until put into caskets for burial. pg 21
2122 Church Street This house was built in the 1870s and used as a funeral parlor and house of Mr. Gilbert. People say unexplained happenings or experienced at this house. pg 22
2121 Church Street In 1881 Harry Dickerman converted the building to a hardware store. Other things that have been in thing build have been a woodworking shop, Buick garage, gas appliance, machine shop, public hall. pg 24
Corner of Austin and Church Street This building was built in 1923 as a blacksmith shop. He did horseshoe and made wagon buggy. This building is one of four elevators and the parts are upstairs for safety. pg 23-24
2887 Main Street the building to the left was built in 1939 by Steve Simmons for his clothing and dry cleaning shop.
2893 Main Street the tan building straight forward was built between 1900-1915 by Walter Dickerman. It was a Buick Auto Sales and Repair and a Masonic Hall on the 2nd floor. pg 27-28
South Division Street This was the site for Village Hall and upstairs was the library. Behind Village Hall was the village jail of two jail cells. It also housed the fire equipment a team of horses with a tank pump. The village water tower was also in this area. pg 29
2115 Division Street There has been many different buildings on this land a harness and farm shop, Overland Automobiles dealership, Byrnes Implements, Ford dealership. pg 30
2905 West Main Street There was a bank here that got torn down in 2018. The State Bank if East Troy opened in 1893. pg 32
Clark and West Main Street On this land there has been a machine shop that’s been torn down. There is also blacksmith shop in this location. This building was a preowned car dealership. pg 39
2920 Main Street This building was a Ford Garage, Trent Tube, gift shop, East Troy School District garage, East Troy Clinic office. pg 37-38
There was a stable here until 1919 when a fire burned it down. pg 36
Corner of Division and Main Street Barney Owens built a barn and garage on this land. In 1919 a fire destroyed both buildings. pg 36
2087 Division Street In 1836 the 1st building was built a log structure which was a 1st licensed inn in Walworth County. The land passed to Emery Thayer in 1842 he built this building. This building has never been closed in its history. Inside this building is part of the old Catholic Church. From 1941-1982 there was a bowling alley in the back which later turned to a dance floor. pg 36-37
This building was built by Zinns you can still see his name on top of the building. The building was a dry good and grocery store. This building had one of four original elevators in East Troy. This building also housed Eagle Telephone Company on the 2nd level. pg 38
2079 Division Street This building was built in 1912 to be a Farmer’s and Merchant Bank. In 1932 the bank went broke because of the Great Depression. Other buinessess that have been in this building is a shooting gallery and a slaughterhouse. pg 40
2077 Division Street This building was built by Adam Deist as a harness shop then later an A&P store. The Masons used the building for there meetings. Now the Lions Club own this building. pg 41
2075 Division Street This building was built in 1871 as a Wilmer Brother Grocery Store. Other businesses that have been in this building is a dairy bar, a soda fountain, Post Office, Laundromat and parachute manufacturer. pg 42
